November 27 through December 30, 2026Gates 5:00 PM, lights 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM nightly

This is the one. Clifton Mill has been putting on one of the country's largest holiday light displays since the 1980s. Over 5 million lights covering the old grist mill, the gorge, bridges, and grounds along the Little Miami River. There's a miniature village with hundreds of buildings, over 3,000 Santa Claus figurines collected from around the world, a live Santa in the workshop, and an hourly musical covered bridge show starting at 6 PM. Adults and kids both lose it. $15 per person, kids 3 and under free. Gates open 5 PM, lights on at 6 through 9 PM nightly.

Pro tip: Weeknight visits in the first two weeks of December are significantly less crowded than weekends. It's about 20 minutes from Dayton — drive through Clifton Gorge on the way back, especially beautiful in winter.
