Private Landlord Rentals

Rental homes listed directly by Dayton-area owners, reviewed by Chris before they go live. Not MLS listings.

These are owner-listed rentals, not MLS listings. Chris reviews each submission before it goes live, but listings are provided by the owners themselves. Dayton Relo and Chris are not the listing agent for these properties. Contact the landlord directly with questions.

Renting from a private landlord, answered

What does "Private Landlord" mean?

These homes are listed directly by the property owner, not pulled from the MLS. You deal with the landlord (or their property manager) directly for questions, applications, and showings. Dayton Relo just hosts the listing.

How are listings vetted?

Chris reviews every submission before it goes live, checking that the address, rent, and details are complete and reasonable. It is a quick sanity check, not a background check on the landlord, so use normal caution: verify ownership, never wire money before seeing a lease, and meet in person when you can.

How do I list my rental?

Use the "List Your Rental" form. It takes a few minutes and there is no fee. Chris reviews new submissions, usually within a business day, and the listing goes live once approved.

Are these the same as the MLS rental listings on /listings?

No. MLS rentals are professionally managed and syndicated through Trestle. This page is a separate, owner-listed directory. Both are worth checking, use the link below to browse MLS rentals too.

Renting is one option. Buying might make more sense.
