Days 1-3: Report in and base check-in
Sign in at MPF within 7 days. Get base ID issued (or renewed) at the ID card facility. Drop off household goods if HHG arrived. File the travel voucher within 5 days for fast reimbursement of PCS expenses.

Days 4-7: Set up housing and utilities
Move into permanent housing (on-base or off-base). Transfer utilities, Vectren for gas, AES Ohio (DP&L) for electric, Dayton Water or Montgomery County Water depending on township, Spectrum or AT&T for internet. Order address change with USPS and update USAA / DEERS.

Days 7-15: Ohio DMV and vehicle registration
Ohio requires you to get an Ohio driver's license within 30 days and register your vehicles within 30 days. The closest BMV to WPAFB is in Fairborn. Bring DD-214 or military ID, proof of insurance, vehicle title, and current out-of-state registration.

Set up TRICARE PCM through Humana Military or call the appointments line. The on-base hospital is the 88th Medical Group. For dental, find a network provider. Register kids for school, Fairborn, Beavercreek, Centerville, and Kettering all have base liaisons for incoming military families.
